Two people were taken into custody Wednesday afternoon after detectives served felony warrants at a Bellefontaine residence.

According to the Bellefontaine Police Department, the incident happened just before 3:00 PM at a home in the 1100 block of West Columbus Avenue.

Logan County Sheriff’s Detectives, along with the Bellefontaine Police Department’s K9 Unit, were attempting to serve indictment warrants on 36-year-old Joshua Anderson and 41-year-old Jessica Vom Baur.

Authorities say Vom Baur was seen outside before law enforcement arrived.

When detectives knocked on the door, she answered and was asked to step outside, complying without incident.

While speaking with her, officers heard a male inside the residence.

Vom Baur confirmed Anderson was inside, and he was ordered to exit.

Once Anderson came out, he was taken into custody on his outstanding felony warrant.

During a search, detectives located a small black key-ring container in his pocket containing a white substance that later field-tested positive for cocaine.

Anderson reportedly told officers he had found the container while cleaning the house.

Vom Baur was also taken into custody on her warrant.

Both were transported to the Logan County Jail.

Vom Baur was lodged on charges of drug trafficking and illegal manufacture of drugs.

Anderson is being held on charges including two counts of trafficking in drugs, illegal manufacture of drugs, endangering children, two counts of possession of drugs, and having weapons while under disability.
