Friday evening, Washington Township Officers were notified by an employee at the Midway Marathon that a couple had been parked at a gas pump for 45 minutes and were acting suspicious.
Officers made contact with couple, and identified them as William Ruckman, 45, of Sidney and Megan Leonard, 35, of Sidney.
They learned that both Ruckman and Leonard had warrants for their arrest, and had been in the bathroom of the gas station injecting drugs just prior to officer’s arrival.
Several used needles were found in the bathroom.
The couple was taken into custody on their warrants and transported to the Logan County Jail.
Once at the jail, officials located three bags of methamphetamine in Ruckman’s shoe.
Leonard was lodged on the warrant and charged with possession of drug abuse instruments.
Ruckman was lodged on his warrant and charged with possession of drugs, illegal conveyance into a detention center, tampering with evidence and possession of drug abuse instruments.
