A 24-year-old Lakeview man was arrested Sunday night after multiple law enforcement officers were called to a reported fight near Seminole Path and Pocahontas Path.
Reports from the Logan County Sheriff’s Office say deputies arrived just before 9:00 PM and found Andrew Cox under a camper.
Deputies say Cox appeared to be heavily intoxicated and refused several orders from law enforcement.
He also pulled away from deputies as they tried to arrest him.
Cox was eventually handcuffed and taken to a patrol car.
The report says he continued to pull away, dropped to his knees several times and refused to get into the cruiser.
During the trip to the Logan County Jail, Cox reportedly yelled and kicked the doors of the patrol car.
He later claimed he had hurt his shoulder.
At the jail, Cox reportedly refused to identify himself and would not follow instructions from jail staff.
He was placed in a restraint chair after becoming combative.
Cox is facing charges of persistent disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, and failure to disclose personal information.
Washington Township Police assisted at the scene.
