Graham Local Schools Board of Education is excited to announce its intent to hire Steven E. Dickerson as the next Superintendent of Graham Local Schools.
Mr. Dickerson was selected following an extensive search process led by K12 Business Consulting, Inc., and brings a strong background in educational leadership with 16 years of experience serving as superintendent at both Hillsdale Local Schools and Lucas Local Schools.
During his tenure at Hillsdale, Dickerson focused on building strong relationships with students, staff, families, and community stakeholders while maintaining a strong emphasis on school finance and long-term district planning. He also successfully led the completion of a new school facility project for the district.
“On behalf of the Graham Local Board of Education, we are excited to welcome Steve Dickerson to the Falcon Family,” Board President Leslie Maurice shared in a statement. “His attention to personal relationships, consistent communication, and commitment to student and staff success will allow our district to continue carrying the positive momentum established by our administrators, staff, and students.”
The Board said it believes Dickerson’s leadership experience and community-centered approach will support the district’s continued growth and success while building upon the strong foundation currently in place across Graham Local Schools.
The Board also expressed appreciation for current Superintendent Chad Lensman and his leadership and dedication to the district.
“Once again, we thank Chad Lensman for his dedicated and loyal service to our district,” the Board stated. “Chad remains committed to ensuring a seamless transition for our students, staff, and community.”
Dickerson’s anticipated start date is Aug. 1, 2026. However, he is expected to begin visiting the district and meeting with staff and stakeholders several times prior to officially assuming the role.
Additional information regarding transition opportunities and community introductions will be shared in the coming weeks.
