Late Sunday, officers from the Bellefontaine Police Department were called to a home on Greenwood Street for a domestic dispute.
A victim said that her ex-boyfriend told her that he was going to spend the night in his car, parked in her driveway.
The ex-boyfriend, Andre Allen, 44, of Bellefontaine, and the victim had gotten into an argument the day before, and after living together for two months, Allen was sleeping in his vehicle.
The victim asked Allen to leave her property, he then told her he would be back when she was at work and get his belongings.
Allen began to drive off when the victim told him she would just put his belongings on the porch.
This triggered Allen, who returned to the home, stormed inside, and tackled the victim.
He then threatened to kill her and burn the house down.
She retreated to her bedroom when he followed her and he shoved her into a dresser.
The victim’s son recorded parts of the incident on their cell phone and showed it to officers.
Allen was placed under arrest and transported to the Logan County Jail where he was charged with domestic violence and aggravated menacing.
He has a prior conviction of aggravated murder in 2002, which enhances the aggravated menacing charge to a fourth-degree felony.
