Late Friday night, Logan County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a complaint of reckless driving on Lima Street in Huntsville.
Witnesses say the vehicle, a red pickup truck, was making several lane violations.
When deputies pulled the truck over, the driver, David Frazier, 23, of Huntsville, attempted to pull into a driveway where he collided with a parked vehicle.
He then backed up and drove onto the grass next to the vehicle.
Deputies asked Frazier to exit his vehicle when they noticed he was slow to respond.
They also noted he had red and glossy eyes and proceeded with field sobriety tests.
Frazier failed the tests administered and was taken into custody.
Frazier then alerted deputies to a firearm under the front seat of his truck.
A 9mm Glock was found with a full magazine of ammunition and an empty chamber.
He was taken to Bellefontaine Police Department for a breathalyzer test, in which he blew a BAC of .173%, just over two times the legal limit.
Frazier was charged with improper handling of a firearm in a motor vehicle, OVI, and failure to control and lodged in the Logan County Jail.
