Hassell Arrested After Collapsing in Grocery Store

On Thursday, July 4th, Bellefontaine Police and medics were called to Kroger in Bellefontaine for a female who had collapsed and was given Narcan.

The female, identified as Tia Hassell, 30, of North Lewisburg, consented to a search of her purse.

She then began to pull items from her purse and put them in a cart.

During that time she attempted to hide a clear baggie from officers.

The baggie contained a white rocklike substance, known to be cocaine.

Hassell was then placed under arrest for possession of the drug.

She was transported to Mary Rutan Hospital for medical treatment.

When given medical clearance, she was transferred to the Logan County Jail for possession of cocaine and tampering with evidence.
