Houchins Arrested for Warrant; Charged With Possession

Early Saturday morning Bellefontaine Police were on patrol when they saw a vehicle partially parked in the road on South Elm Street.

The driver, Jesse Houchins, 42 of Bellefontaine, asked officers if they had a jump pack, and the officer told him they had one at the police station.

Dispatch advised the officer that Houchins had an active warrant for his arrest.

Houchins was placed in handcuffs and searched for illegal substances/weapons.

Officers found a pipe, a chore boy, and a methamphetamine-like substance was found in a silver metal container inside Houchins’ pants pocket.

He was transported to the Logan County Jail where he was lodged on the warrant.

Houchins was additionally charged with possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia.
