Hurless Arrested Sunday After Traffic Stop

Sunday, Washington Township officers were on patrol on US Route 33 near Lincoln Boulevard and stopped a vehicle occupied by Wendell Hurless, 33, of Russells Point, for a turn signal violation.

Upon making contact with the occupants, signs of drug use were observed.

The driver of the vehicle admitted to recently using methamphetamine.

K9 Tega was called to the scene and alerted on the vehicle.

During the search, officers located a hypodermic needle and a scale with a white crystal substance on it inside of Wendell’s bag.

The white crystal substance tested positive for methamphetamine.

Wendell was taken into custody and transported to the Logan County Jail.

He was charged with drug paraphernalia and possessing drug abuse instruments.
