The IL Board met in a regular session on Monday.

Many members expressed their gratitude that the district’s five-year renewal levy passed the first time it was on the ballot.

District Treasurer Coleen Reprogle presented the annual five-year forecast and Superintendent Dr. Rob Underwood says the district is in a strong financial position currently.

ILHS Wrestling Coaches Phil Mackesy and Ryan Dickson detailed the recent growth and success of their program, making the case for adding to the coaching staff to accommodate more wrestlers and the emergence of the ILHS Girls Wrestling Team.

Superintendent Underwood presented sophomore Reagan Rash with a Certificate of Achievement for advancing to the State Cross Country Meet for the second time this fall.

Senior Madison Brentlinger also received a Certificate of Achievement for being named Honorable Mention All-State Volleyball.

Finally, Dr. Underwood presented longtime board member Steve Spath with an award from the Ohio School Boards Association for his 25 years of service.

The Indian Lake Board of Education will meet again on Tuesday, December 19th at 5 pm in the board office for their final regular meeting of 2023.
