Matthew Jack, 32, of Shelbyville, Indiana, was lodged in the Logan County Jail on possession charges early Monday morning.
Logan County Sheriff Deputies were called to a business in Russells Point after employees saw a vehicle behind the building in the grass.
As deputies approached the vehicle, they saw Jack slumped over in the driver’s seat, asleep.
Jack suddenly woke and told officers that he thought he had pulled off the side of the road.
Due to erratic behavior, Jack was asked to step out of the vehicle and was detained in the deputy’s cruiser.
He showed several signs of possible drug use.
K9 Tega was called to the scene and alerted on the vehicle.
During a vehicle search, deputies found a black container with a white powdery substance inside.
Deputies also found a hypodermic needle and K2 Spice, a synthetic marijuana, inside the vehicle.
Jack was transported to the Logan County Jail where he was lodged on aggravated possession of a controlled substance.
