A local driver was cited after a two-vehicle injury crash outside of DeGraff Monday afternoon around 3 o’clock.
The Logan County Sheriff’s Office reports that Jonathan Hillery, 32, of DeGraff, was traveling southbound on State Route 235 when he failed to stop for Darrell Porter, 61, of DeGraff, who was waiting to make a left turn onto Township Road 210. The impact caused Porter to travel off the left side of the road and into a ditch.
Porter suffered minor injuries but was not transported.
Hillery, who had four children in the vehicle, suffered possible injuries and was taken to Mary Rutan Hospital by Quincy EMS.
The four children, ages 5, 8, 10, and 12, all suffered possible injuries and were all taken to Mary Rutan by Indian Lake EMS.
The 10-year-old and the 12-year-old were the only ones who were not wearing their seat belts.
Hillery was cited for assured clear distance.
His vehicle suffered heavy damage.
Porter’s vehicle suffered moderate damage.
