The Bellefontaine Police Department reports that Shirley Ritter of Bellefontaine struck a utility pole at the alley of the First Lutheran Church Monday afternoon.
Ritter was going north on Central Court when she crossed West Sandusky Avenue and hit the pole located across the street from the fire department.
Ritter was taken by EMS to Mary Rutan Hospital with a suspected serious injury.
Her passenger, Navaeh Hengsteler, was taken to the hospital for minor injuries.
Ritter was cited for failure to control.
