Thursday was Lieutenant Scott Marlow’s last day on the Bellefontaine Police Department Special Response Team.
The Special Response Team is tasked with serving high-risk search warrants, barricades, and hostage rescue operations.
Marlow has served as a member of the team for 18 years and has been a part of dozens of successful missions.
He spent the last seven years as the team’s commander and is ultimately responsible for outfitting the team with the necessary gear and equipment to safely and complete missions.
Marlow also played a vital role in securing the team’s first armored vehicle.
