Mechanicsburg woman pleads not guilty to six charges following domestic dispute

A Mechanicsburg woman has pleaded not guilty to multiple felony and misdemeanor charges stemming from a domestic dispute in Goshen Township late last month.

Adriana Perez, 34, was arraigned Monday in Champaign County Municipal Court on two felony and four misdemeanor charges following her arrest by the Champaign County Sheriff’s Office.

According to the Champaign County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were dispatched at approximately 6 a.m. on June 28 to a residence on Mill Street after receiving a report of a domestic dispute. Deputies arrived on the scene and conducted an investigation that resulted in Perez being taken into custody. She was transported to the Tri-County Jail.

Perez is charged with:

  • Identity Theft, a fifth-degree felony
  • Forgery, a fifth-degree felony
  • Assault, a first-degree misdemeanor
  • Falsification, a first-degree misdemeanor
  • Obstructing Official Business, a second-degree misdemeanor
  • Criminal Trespass, a fourth-degree misdemeanor

During her arraignment Monday, Perez entered a not guilty plea to all charges and currently sits with an $8,000 bond.

A pretrial hearing has been scheduled for 2 p.m. on July 10.
