Aaron Miller, 27, of Bellefontaine, was arrested for two counts of OVI, driving in marked lanes, and turns at intersections on Sunday afternoon.

Bellefontaine Police received a call that a man had picked up takeout from a restaurant on South Main Street and appeared intoxicated.

The caller told police that the suspect had left the restaurant and was northbound on Main Street.

Police caught up with the vehicle that matched the description and license plate the caller had reported when they saw the driver make several driving violations.

Officers attempted to initiate a traffic stop, but the driver, later identified as Miller, ignored police.

After several blocks, Miller pulled over.

As officers spoke with Miller, they noticed several signs of intoxication.

He was asked to step out of the vehicle and perform field sobriety tests.

When he failed the tests, he was placed under arrest for OVI.

Miller was transported to the Bellefontaine Police Department where he refused to give breath samples.

He was given his citations and a mandatory court date then was released to a sober driver.
