The Indian Lake High School Homecoming Court is set to shine during the Community Homecoming Parade and Pep Rally this Thursday, followed by the Homecoming Game on Friday night.
This year’s King and Queen are seniors Bryce Burton and Halle Roby, accompanied by Senior Attendants Quest Clay and Haylee McCafferty, Junior Attendants Joe Cummins and Lili Mackesy, Sophomore Attendants Tyler Tidwell and Quinn Imm, and Freshman Attendants Aaron Rapp and Bre Wisener.
The 16th annual Homecoming Parade kicks off at 6:30 PM on September 26th in downtown Russells Point. The parade will feature colorful floats representing student-athletes, band members, local law enforcement, and various student organizations. Participants will distribute candy and small prizes along the route.
Local businesses are encouraged to decorate their storefronts for the occasion, with awards for the Best Spirit sponsored by the ILHS Student Council and Football Cheerleaders. This year’s theme, “Laker Strong—Power Over the Falcons!” will highlight a superhero motif on class floats.
Following the parade, Gathering Grounds will host a Pep Rally to rally support for the Friday night game against Graham. Cheerleaders and Student Council officers will introduce the coaches, fall sports teams, and the Homecoming Court.
Prior to the parade, Russells Point Police will close the west end of Main Street at 5 PM. Parade floats should approach the route from Township Road 239 at Midway. Students can be dropped off at the bike path pull-off at Twp. Rd. 239 or at Paradise Island across from Indian Head Roadhouse.
The Homecoming Game kicks off at 7 PM on September 27th at Laker Stadium, featuring a parade of cars and the presentation of the Homecoming Court starting at 6:20 PM.
Don’t miss the Homecoming Dance on September 28th, from 8-10 PM under the bleachers at Laker Stadium!
