Passenger Succumbs to Injuries

An Indiana woman has passed away from injuries sustained in a crash on April 27th.

According to the Logan County Sheriff’s Office, Susan Storms, 75, of Ligonier, Indiana, died on Friday, at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne.

She was a passenger in a U-Haul driven by her husband, 79-year-old Cleveland E. Storms.

The crash happened at the intersection of U.S. Route 33 and State Route 274.

Deputies report Laura Lewis, 79, of Grove City, was at the stop sign at the intersection when she turned in front of the path of a westbound truck operated by Cleveland Storms.

It is unknown if Susan was transported from the scene.

Huntsville EMS transported Cleveland Storms to Mary Rutan Hospital for minor injuries.

Lewis and her passenger, Wanda Bussard, 87, of Groveport, were also transported to Mary Rutan Hospital for minor injuries.

This is the third fatal crash in Logan County, in 2024.
