Deputies from the Logan County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to County Road 23 in Quincy in reference to an active domestic with assault, Friday night, around 8:05. Dispatch advised that Julie Angle, 48, later identified, was hitting her husband.

As deputies approached the house, they observed the male standing by his lawnmower near the barn and Angle stumbling back to the house. Authorities observed two distinct red marks on the victim’s cheeks which looked like he had been slapped. He also had a small cut on his left eye, red marks up both of his arms, which looked like he was scratched, and blood stains on his hands.

The male said he came home at about 6:00 pm and noticed Angle had been drinking, was becoming “disorderly”, and throwing things, which got worse the longer he was there. He stated he went to the barn and began mowing. Angle came out and began yelling and hitting him while he was mowing the grass.

At some point while the victim was mowing, Angle grabbed multiple beers from the refrigerator garage and began throwing them.

When the victim called law enforcement, Angle started hitting him again. She took wild swings and made contact with his head.

Deputies went into the house to talk with Angle. When asked what happened, she stated nothing happened, and she didn’t know what the deputies were talking about. Authorities advised Angle that she was bleeding from her hands and had blood stains on her legs. Angle stated she “was fine”.

Angle was placed under arrest.

She was transported to the Logan County Jail.

Angle was charged with domestic violence.
