The Russells Point Police Department is seeking the public’s help in locating a stolen boat and trailer.

On the morning of Thursday, July 25th, a quiet theft began to unfold at around 6:38 AM.

A white Dodge pickup truck, possibly a Dodge Ram with chrome step rails, was seen traveling north on State Route 708 at the intersection with East Main Street.

This truck was closely followed by a black full-size conversion van.

The two vehicles briefly disappeared from the camera’s view, only to reappear moments later.

The van was now parked across the street from a boat and trailer, seemingly in a deliberate position.

Shortly after, the white truck came back into view.

It approached the parking lot and maneuvered skillfully to align the trailer hitch with the boat.

A single occupant, not clearly visible due to the focus of the camera, exited the truck’s driver’s seat.

In a hurry, the truck then quickly pulled out of the parking lot and turned west onto East Main Street.

The van, which had been waiting, followed suit, but it first turned east on Main Street.

After traveling a block, it turned around and began following the truck.

By approximately 6:45 AM, both vehicles were seen traveling west on East Main Street near Clermont Street, and then continued their journey west on US 33.

The Dodge truck and the black van seemed to be moving in tandem, their coordinated actions suggesting a well-planned operation.
