Just after 8 PM on Wednesday Jeremy Gibson, 26 of Ottawa, was westbound on US 33 when he clipped the rear end of a vehicle driven by David Shamblin, 51 of Bellefontaine.
Shamblin then went off the right side of the road, striking the ditch, rolling over his vehicle, sustaining suspected serious injuries.
He was transported to Mary Rutan Hospital by the Bellefontaine EMS.
Gibson was ticketed for Assured Clear Distance Ahead.
