Tuesday afternoon, Logan County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a call from the Shelly Construction Company, saying a red flatbed truck had been stolen from a construction site.
As deputies arrived on the scene employees advised that the vehicle’s GPS showed the truck in Champaign County.
While en route to locate the vehicle, it was seen between Quincy and DeGraff on State Route 235.
As deputies caught up with the truck, they attempted to initiate a traffic stop, however, the driver fled.
Continuing outside of DeGraff, the truck finally slowed to a stop on County Road 18.
Deputies ordered the driver out of the vehicle at gunpoint, he complied and was arrested.
The driver, identified as Joey Coleman, 44, of Kenton, was transported to the Logan County Jail.
He was charged with failure to comply and grand theft.
