Logan County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a report of a drunk driver Friday night on County Road 18 in Bellefontaine.
When deputies arrived, they saw a white pickup truck gradually drive off the road, into a ditch, and then proceed to drive onto a guard rail.
As they spoke with the driver, identified as Abigayle Stump, 35, of Bellefontaine, she was slow to respond and had difficulty answering questions.
With a strong smell of an alcoholic beverage on her breath, deputies asked her to take field sobriety tests, which Stump refused.
She was taken to the deputy’s vehicle while a search of her vehicle was conducted.
While in the cruiser, Stump began talking to herself, which deputies described as slurred and unintelligible.
No open containers were found in the truck and Stump was released to a sober driver.
She is charged with OVI and failure to control.
