Two men were arrested Monday evening after a traffic stop in Lakeview led to the discovery of cocaine and loaded handguns.

According to the Washington Township Police Department, an officer on patrol near the Midway Marathon on U.S. Route 33 noticed a silver Honda without a license plate parked at an air pump.

The officer also recognized a nearby vehicle registered to Brian Grigsby and watched Grigsby move between the two vehicles before both left the gas station.

Police stopped the Honda as it pulled into the Taco Bell parking lot.

During the stop, Grigsby told the officer he had just bought the Honda for his daughter.

While speaking with him, the officer noticed Grigsby appeared nervous and showed signs that he may have been under the influence of drugs.

Grigsby gave officers permission to search both vehicles and his person.

During the search, officers found a folded dollar bill containing cocaine in Grigsby’s pocket, along with two more similar packages.

Police then searched Grigsby’s vehicle and found a loaded 9mm handgun under the driver’s seat.

Officers also found a wallet belonging to Gregory Fiske II that contained several folded dollar bills with cocaine inside.

Fiske was taken into custody after officers located him inside Taco Bell.

Police say he was carrying a loaded .38 caliber Smith & Wesson revolver and another folded dollar bill containing cocaine.

Both men were taken to the Logan County Jail.

Grigsby was charged with possession of cocaine and having weapons while under disability.
