Two crashes happened Thursday morning on icy roads, but no one was hurt.

In the first crash, Bellefontaine Police report that Olivia Douglas, 26, of Ottawa, lost control of her Jeep Grand Cherokee while driving on eastbound U.S. Route 33 around 7:15 a.m.

The icy road caused her to slide into the path of a Honda CR-V driven by Daniela Castillo, 30, of Lima.

The cars hit each other and ended up in the median.

No one was injured, and both cars were towed.

In the second crash, according to the Logan County Sheriff’s Office, Evan Borgerding, 18, of Urbana, crashed his Honda Accord into the back of a Chrysler driven by Brooklynn Dingledine, 18, also of Urbana.

This happened around 10 a.m. on County Road 10 near Township Road 179.

Borgerding couldn’t stop in time because of the icy road.

Both cars were damaged but still able to drive, and no one was hurt.

Several other slide-offs were reported around our area.
