West Liberty is set to kick off Christmas with a parade, the day after Thanksgiving.

The “Light up the Village” tractor parade will take place on Friday, November 24th at 6:30 p.m.

The West Liberty Business Association would like to invite you to help kick off the holiday season by entering a float in this year’s Christmas preview.

The parade will travel from the Lion’s Club Park to the firehouse where the community will greet Santa Claus at the gazebo.

Line-up will begin at 5:45 p.m. and the parade will begin at 6:30 p.m. and will be in order of arrival with exceptions to emergency vehicles and the band.

There will be a panel of judges to vote on the best float, and the top three floats will win a monetary prize plus bragging rights for an entire year.

Along with the parade, downtown shops will be open late so you can begin Christmas shopping for the perfect gift.

The deadline for float entry is Saturday, November 18th.
