A 21-year-old West Liberty woman was cited for Operating a Vehicle Under the Influence (OVI) after a crash on Monday morning.
The accident happened just before 10 AM on State Route 508 near Township Road 30, outside of DeGraff.
According to the Logan County Sheriff’s Office, Macy Roth was driving a 2012 Honda Accord when she lost control of the vehicle, went off the road, and hit a tree.
The car then came to rest in a ditch.
When deputies arrived on the scene Roth was found sitting near the car and they noticed she showed several signs of intoxication.
Riverside EMS arrived and took her to Mary Rutan Hospital for possible minor injuries.
Deputies found a bottle of vodka in the car’s cup holder.
Roth admitted to drinking earlier that morning and agreed to a blood test at the hospital.
She was given citations for OVI and failure to control.
Roth will appear in court next week.
