Finals included:

Acme

Bellefontaine Powerbuilt blanked Vandalia-Butler 3-0 at Blue Jacket Park.

Senior Brock Mitchell tossed a no-hitter and struck out four.

Austen Pulfer led the offense with an RBI single.

Powerbuilt is 19-5 overall.

baseballs.jpgTwo local teams advanced in tournament play earlier this week.

Finals included:

LITTLE LEAGUE

DeGraff defeated Bellefontaine #2 9-6.

SOFTBALL

10U

Lakeview #1 (Indian Lake Moose Lodge) beat DeGraff Creamery 8-4.

Ashley Holycross tossed a two-hitter and struck out eight in the win.

ball_and_bat_photo_on_4-08.jpgWeather permitted a few local teams to hit the diamond Wednesday evening.

EWH Spectrum beat National Salt 7-3 to win the City Farm League Championship.

Jacob Rogan and Sammy Martz combined on the mound for 16 strikeouts.

At the plate, Boris Pattison went 2-for-2 with an RBI.

Aurelio Vickers went 2-for-2.

Sammy Martz went 3-for-3 with four RBIs.

Bellefontaine Powerbuilt blanked Delaware Buckeye Valley 14-0 in five innings at Blue Jacket Park.

Zach Mosbarger tossed a perfect game and recorded four strikeouts.

Mark Duffy and Nolan Hunt had three hits apiece.

Local runners headed to Columbus PDF Print E-mail

track_and_field_shot_on_3-08.jpgOn Saturday June 21st, runners competed in Dodd Stadium at Bellefontaine High School in the Bellefontaine Parks and Recreation Junior Track and Field Hershey qualifying meet.

All participants who placed first will run at the state meet in Columbus on July 12th to compete for the national finals.

Results:

7&8 GIRLS DIVISION

50m: 1st place Alexandria Camper (9.11); 2nd place Brooke Chapman

100m: 1st place Mikayla Stepp (17.94); 2nd place Alexandria Camper

200m: 1st place Mikayla Stepp (39.32); 2nd place Alexandria Camper

DISTANCE

Softball Throw: 1st place Mikayla Stepp (48'); 2nd place Claire Brandt

Long Jump: 1st place Mikayla Stepp (4'7"); 2nd place Claire Brandt
