**UPDATE**: Amalina has been found and is now safe at home.

Sunday afternoon, Bellefontaine Police responded to a call about an unwanted guest at a home on the 200 block of South Park Street.

The resident, David Powell, reported that a male juvenile had entered his home while his daughter, 16-year-old Amalina Powell, was home.

David, who was at work, saw the boy enter through his doorbell camera.

Upon arrival, officers spoke with David via the camera.

He told them that Amalina had left with the boy just before their arrival and that he was unaware of his identity.

David said that Amalina was not supposed to leave the house while he was at work.

Officers checked the area but were unable to locate the two.

David shared doorbell camera footage that corroborated his account of the events.

He noted that neither he nor his other children recognized the boy.

Amalina does not have a cell phone, making it hard to track her.

David thought she might have gone to her grandmother’s house on South Detroit Street.

The grandmother confirmed she hadn’t seen Amalina in months but would notify the police if she did.

During the investigation, officers looked through Amalina’s journals but didn’t find anything mentioned about the boy.

Officers entered Amalina as missing in the LEADS system and shared the footage of the unidentified boy with detectives for further investigation.

Amalina is described as a caucasian female who is 16 years old, 5’3″, 108 pounds, with blonde hair and blue eyes.

The investigation is ongoing, and updates will be provided as they become available.
