Bellefontaine Rotary Enjoys Jazz Performance

The Bellefontaine Rotary Club was entertained Monday by the Benjamin Logan High School Jazz Band.

With just shy of 30 members in the band, they played several Jazz tunes for the group including this song, West End Blues:

The band performed the arranged piece for the first time for the public at Monday’s Rotary meeting.

Other songs performed included: Big Swing Face as played by the Buddy Rich Big Band and Ain’t Got Nothin’ but the Blues by Duke Ellington.

The ensemble will perform next at the Ohio Music Education Association (OMEA) professional development conference at the Hyatt Hotel in Columbus on Friday.

The gig is an audition appointment, that the band sent in a tape for last spring, and was selected to do the performance.

The Bellefontaine Rotary Club meets every Monday at noon.
