A Bellefontaine teenager was cited Wednesday afternoon after causing a chain reaction crash on US 68.

Joshua Samples, 17, was traveling south around 3:15 p.m. when he rear-ended a vehicle driven by Dylan King, 16, of West Liberty.

The crash occurred while three of the four vehicles were stopped for a school bus.

The force of the impact pushed King’s vehicle into one driven by Caleb Larson, 16, also of West Liberty, who was then struck by a vehicle driven by Lynee Harrison, 16, of West Liberty.

Fortunately, no injuries were reported, and all vehicles sustained only minor damage.

Samples was cited for assured clear distance.
