The Benjamin Logan High School Quiz Bowl team showcased their skills at the Wright State Lake Campus Scholastic Bowl Monday, finishing in 3rd place out of 24 teams.
Competing against high schools from around Ohio, the team impressed with their knowledge and teamwork.
The team, consisting of seniors Tristan Sheets, Kameron Lockwood, Liam Sweeney, sophomore Junah Tingley, and freshman Michael Berry, started the day strong, finishing the morning pool play with a perfect 5-0 record.
They also answered the most questions of any team in the competition.
In the afternoon, Benjamin Logan continued their solid performance, advancing to the semifinals with wins over Indian Lake and Bluffton High Schools.
While they were narrowly defeated by Crestview High School in the semifinals, the team bounced back to defeat Wapakoneta High School and secure 3rd place.
The Benjamin Logan team is now preparing for the NAQT Ohio State Quiz Bowl Championships at the end of March and the Small School National Championship in Rosemont, Illinois in April.
