Cracked Pot Studios in Bellefontaine is thrilled to host an Open House and Meet and Greet with acclaimed ceramic artist Tim See on Friday, August 23rd, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Tim See, a ceramic artist born in Syracuse, New York in 1979, has spent his life in the Greater Syracuse area, also known as Central New York.
He began working with clay while studying art at Onondaga Community College and earned his Bachelor of Fine Arts in Ceramics with Honors from Syracuse University in 2004.
See’s impressive career includes exhibitions at prestigious institutions such as the Smithsonian Museum in Washington, D.C., the Everson Museum in Syracuse, NY, the Memorial Art Gallery in Rochester, NY, and Baltimore Clayworks in Maryland, among others. His work has received annual awards since 2003.
In addition to his artistic achievements, See has a rich background in teaching.
Since 2006, he has taught pottery at Clayscapes Pottery, Inc., covering all skill levels from beginners to advanced students.
He has also conducted workshops for children and teens at various educational levels and enjoyed engaging potters through workshops across the northeast.
As a founding member of the Independent Potters Association, See collaborates on charitable events, group exhibitions, and art trails.
His social media presence connects him with over 11,000 potters globally, and he has produced 92 educational videos on pottery, attracting nearly 2 million views and more than 13,000 subscribers.
Tim See resides in Bridgeport, NY with his wife Brenda Pierce, and their cat Viggo.
