Kenton Man Faces Drug Charges After Traffic Stop on 33

Wednesday evening officers from the Washington Township Police Department stopped Thomas Wolfenbarger of Kenton for a turn signal violation on State Route 33.

Upon making contact with Thomas, the odor of marijuana was observed coming from his vehicle.

Thomas admitted to smoking marijuana in his vehicle just moments before the traffic stop.

A probable cause search was conducted on Thomas’s person and a bag of marijuana was recovered from his pocket.

Officers then located two loaded handguns and three bags containing a large amount of methamphetamine inside Thomas’s vehicle.

Thomas then passed out. Indian Lake EMS responded to the scene and transported him to Mary Rutan Hospital.

Once released from the hospital, Thomas was taken into custody and transported to the Logan County Jail.

He was charged with possession of drugs, trafficking drugs, having weapons under disability, and possession of marijuana.
