Bellefontaine Mayor Ben Stahler swore in Bellefontaine’s newest Police Chief, Christopher Marlow, in front of a packed house Friday afternoon.
Marlow swore to uphold the ideals of both the community and local law enforcement.
After officially signing with city officials, Chief Marlow thanked those who have supported him throughout his career and for the continued support in the years to come.
Members of the Special Response Team thanked Chief Marlow for his 23 years of service and presented him with a plaque and shadow box.
Coming on the horizon for Chief Marlow, the department will be recognizing veterans on staff with insignia pins. The pins will not only honor their service to the military but will also let other veterans who may be struggling that they served and may be an ally.
