The Paint LoCo Pink Celebration in Downtown Lakeview was held Wednesday evening.
The recognition event was held to honor those in Logan County who are breast cancer survivors and pay tribute to those we’ve lost.
Logan County Commissioner Mike Yoder spoke on the significance of breast cancer awareness. He said, “Breast cancer awareness is not just for one month. It’s a year-round commitment to ourselves and to our loved ones.”
A presentation was given by Tammy Allison from the Logan County Cancer Society. During her speech, she gave the following statistic. “In 2022, the Logan County Cancer Society helped 283 community members, totaling nearly $194,000.” Allison encourages community members to know that the Logan County Cancer Society is here to help those fighting cancer.
