Bellefontaine Police were called to a home on West Sandusky Avenue in Bellefontaine last night where a woman found what looked to be unidentified human bones while digging in her garden.
Police say Leatha Johnson was extending her backyard garden when she came across the “small petrified bones.” She investigated the bones on the internet and believes they are human bones.
Officers photographed the bones and collected them for evidence.
The find remains under investigation.
