Sergeant Morgan and others honored at 11th annual BPD Awards

The Bellefontaine Police Department recently held its 11th annual Awards Ceremony earlier this month.

The event took place at the Bellefontaine Regional Airport.

Former Ohio State and NFL player, and current motivational speaker, Roy Hall, Jr. was their keynote speaker.

Sergeant Mike Morgan was named the Bellefontaine Police Department Officer of the Year. That award was voted on by fellow BPD employees. Sergeant Morgan was also awarded the Volunteer Service Award.

Dispatcher of the Year went to Nichole Chambers. This award was also voted on by BPD employees.

Danielle Meek was awarded the Medal of Merit.

Officer Andrew Purk was named the American Legion Officer of the Year

The Civilian Medal Of Merit awards went to Joan Haushalter and Kenya Sayles.
