The Village of Russells Point will be working with the Ohio Department of Natural Resources Division of Forestry to evaluate trees in the village in the coming days.
This is an opportunity to assess trees that may have been damaged by the tornado on March 14, 2024.
ODNR staff and Russells Point Officials will conduct field studies of tree measurements and conditions.
You may see markings on the trees as the process moves forward.
The Russells Point Village Council plans to establish a Tree Commission.
They will work on preserving trees and plan to replace many that were lost during the tornado.
