Two-vehicle accident leads to Huntsville man being transported

A two-vehicle accident caused a Huntsville man to suffer serious injuries. He was transported to Mary Rutan Hospital after an accident on County Road 130, near County Road 37, Monday afternoon around 2:45.

Jason Riley, 64, of Columbus, was driving a Ford F-150 south on County Road 130 and was stopped behind a semi.

Riley then turned into the northbound lane and was struck by Jeffrey Long, 60, of Huntsville, driving a Ford Mustang northbound.

Riley struck the stop sign after being impacted with Long.

Riley sustained no apparent injuries and was charged with right of way when turning left.

Long suffered suspected serious injuries. He was transported by the Huntsville Fire Department to Mary Rutan Hospital.

Both vehicles had heavy damage.
